That land is a community is the basic concept of ecology, but that land is to be loved and respected is an extension of ethics. -Aldo Leopold

Grand Gulch Complex (GGC)
Grand Gulch is located on Cedar Mesa on the Colorado Plateau in southeastern Utah. The maze of winding canyons in Grand Gulch provides an exquisite backdrop for one of the best places to see and explore, up close, preserved Ancestral Puebloan ruins, cliff dwellings, and rock art in a wilderness setting accessible only by foot. These customizable Grand Gulch treks wind throughout the Grand Gulch Complex, which is comprised of several Wilderness Study Areas (WSAs) along with the Grand Gulch Primitive Area and is managed by the Bureau of Land Management. There is so much to see in this wilderness preserved for the sake of culture and nature. Let’s create a customized trek!
Paria River Canyon
Paria River Canyon is located in the BLM-managed Vermillion Cliffs Wilderness crossing southern Utah and northern Arizona. The geographical changes along the river’s course are quite impressive offering a plethora of exposures. From wide arroyos to narrow canyon walls and sweeping valleys there is much to be seen in several layers of sandstone sedimentation. All along the way vegetation, wildlife, rock formation, and traces of old human existence reveal themselves. Windows cut by the flow of water, springs seeping forth from between layers, hoodoos keeping vigil over the land, cliff faces seemingly built of blocks, and landscapes of granular hues from white to black call to mind a place out of this world. Plan your trip with us today!
Bandelier Wilderness is located in New Mexico to the south of Los Alamos. With more than 3,000 archaeological sites Bandelier is a culturally rich environment where the Ancestral Puebloan people thrived. Adjacent to the Valles Caldera this land was shaped largely by volcanic activity. Many homes were carved from tuff, the consolidated volcanic ash while others were built in the familiar central kiva style on mesas and in valley floors. Evidence of cultural interaction exists in some pictographs found within this wilderness. It is quite a joy to contemplate the possible meanings of this old art during your adventure into this unique landscape. Let’s go!
Choose Mountain Treks – Offered in the Summer
